HOW TO RECOVER PERMANENTLY DELETED FILE ON COMPUTER

| Saturday, March 1, 2014 | 0 comments

Most times, when you delete files from your computer system, you can recover them by simply opening your recycle bin and then restore back using the restore option. Reverse is the case when you delete files permanently, you can never find them in your computer again because you can't undo the action. A good example is when you use the SHIFT+DELETE command to get rid of a file, your computer gives a warning, "Are you sure you want to permanently delete this file?" once you hit the enter key, your file gets lost for life, and the funny thing is that you cannot recover it from the recycle bin. Sometimes, the action may not be intentional and you start to blame yourself or regret your actions. Well, I want to assure you that there is still hope at this point if the space where the deleted file was has not been re-occupied, what I mean is if you have not stored a new file in that location. There is a

HOW TO RENAME WINDOWS FOLDER TO SPACE (EMPTY CHARACTER)

    | Sunday, July 8, 2012 | 3 comments

Renaming windows folder to space, empty or funny character is really interesting if you are the type of person who loves to play with windows folder. When you do this, the folder invisible without hiding it.

You can easily rename the folder to " " (space). You can't rename a folder to space right away. You have to RIGHT CLICK ON THE FOLDER and SELECT "RENAME" and get rid of the previous name and then you have to HOLD THE "ALT" on your keyboard and TYPE 255 in the number pad. i.e. You type (ALT + 255). Finally, press enter and your folder name will be changed to space.

It is not over yet... Still, folder icon shows up with the folder attached to a wired name (space).

Now, we want TO GET THE FOLDER ICON AWAY. That's simple, just RIGHT CLICK ON THE FOLDER, GO TO "PROPERTIES", SELECT CUSTOMIZE, CLICK ON "CHANGE ICON". The makers of windows OS seemed to have thought about this. You'll see three blank icons, I have no idea why these blank icons are there, SELECT ONE OF THEM and CLICK ON OK and then APPLY it. Done. Now, your folder should be invisible.

Wait a minute... Still, that blank line looks bad with other folders... Just double click on the Name and sort the folder list. Yeah, you're through! You've successfully renamed your folder to space and hidden it at the same time.

Wait, take a minute to share this trick with your friends if you like it.

HOW TO BLOCK YOUR COMPUTER FROM OPENING ADULT CONTENT SITES

    | Thursday, April 26, 2012 | 3 comments

One of the reasons for which you keep computers at home is to surf or browse the internet. some kinds of files, animations and so on, which can not be viewed on mobile phone as accessible when browsing the web on your computer. Your children too may have access to the computer and will sometimes like to browse the web with it, that's not bad, but there are cases in which some of the web pages they access link to adult content sites, and besides, some kids are curious to know... you know what that means and the effect they can have on your children, for that reason, there is need for you to keep the children away from linking to such sites. And to do this, you need to block such adult content sites. Below is a tip on how to block adult content sites automatically on your computer

OpenDNS is the right choice for you. With
OpenDNS you don't need to download any software or install anything! All you need to do is to go to OpenDNS website
www.opendns.com on any internet browser on your computer, when the page loads, just choose the "computer" option and follow the instructions displayed on your computer screen. Once your computer is done with the OpenDNS configuration, go to "Dashboard" - > "Settings"
and set the "filtering level" to moderate or high and save the settings.
That's all! It's nothing more than that. Once you are done, when your child clicks a link or deliberately or mistakenly enters an adult content site url into the web browser's address bar, for example, www.whitehouse.com instead of www.whitehouse.gov, OpenDNS filters it and prevents the page from opening
